What Does Custom REALLY Mean?

You hear the term “custom” thrown around a lot with the larger companies who price their houses based on stock plans they build hundreds of times a year.  They let you add or move windows and doors, maybe bump a few walls, and give you a selection of finish options and call that “custom”.

Here’s what “custom” means to us:

  1. Custom building means limitless options.  We do not have “stock” plans that you then modify. Bring us your ideas and dreams - even if it just a sketch on a napkin!  We will start the process of turning them into actual working “blueprints” using our state-of-the-art design software.  We can combine ideas from several plans, work from a sketch, or start completely from scratch.  The possibilities are limitless. Our in-house designer can draw up your plan using our 3D program so that you can virtually “walk” through your home before we’ve even broken ground!

  2. Custom means unique. We want your home to be one-of-a-kind.  Your home should be an extension of you. That is why we will work on a plan for as long as it takes until we have created the home of your dreams that works within your budget.

  3. Custom means collaboration. We collaborate with our customers working WITH you instead of offering you premade plans to choose from.  We will walk with you every step of the way, but when building a custom home, you should understand how the building and design selection process works and have a hand in every decision. With our unique sweat equity and direct contracting programs, we take this a step further by allowing you the option of being involved directly with the work and saving you thousands of dollars.
