EquityQuest Homes offers the chance to gain additional Sweat Equity by allowing our homeowners to participate in the building process.

This is entirely your choice based on your energy level and availability. We even have "how-to" resource material for some of the simpler things like painting and clean-up.

We also offer complete "Turn Key" packages on all of our homes.  You get to dream and plan - we do all the dirty work !

Our construction professionals do all the HEAVY LIFTING!

You choose the tasks that fit your skills and lifestyle.

The most popular Sweat Equity tasks our homeowners choose to do are painting, clean-up, mirrors and towel racks and landscaping.  On a typical project this saves $8000-$10,000 in labor!

But many homeowners choose to do more!  Decks, driveways, sidewalks, excavation, trim, flooring, countertops - the list goes on.

Some of our stories about Sweat Equity:

  • Sandy's brother was a tile layer and, as a house warming gift, did all of her countertops and flooring. She saved $1,000's in labor!
  • Paul traded computer services with a friend who in turn built Paul's decks.  Again, $1,000's were saved in labor.
  • Eric is a hobby woodworker and installed his own trim for a labor savings of over $3000!
  • Brad has an old friend who is a mason.  For a few beers over the course of several weeks, Brad's friend helped him install all the stone work on the exterior of his new custom home for a labor savings of over $4000!
  • George's nephew is a licensed electrician who did the electrical for George at a savings of over $4000.

We hope these stories help you think of creative ways you can increase Sweat Equity in your home.

One of the best things about Sweat Equity is the pride you feel every time you walk into your new home  - a home that you helped build!

Think about it - $1,000's of dollars saved, lower monthly payments and an increased pride of ownership and connectedness to your new home and land.  Sweat Equity is a GOOD THING!
